Lottery funding for Clydesdale Organisations

Clydesdale MSP, Aileen Campbell has welcomed the latest batch of funding to be awarded to Clydesdale organisations by the Big Lottery Fund.

A total of £20,655 has been secured by three local groups with funding going towards new outdoor equipment at Auchengray Primary School, leadership workshops for ALVO and cultural research trips for Lanark’s Cargill House Club.

Since 2011 community groups in Clydesdale have received over £800,000 of funding to help them improve local facilities and bring new projects and opportunities to their communities.

Commenting, Aileen Campbell said:

“I am pleased more groups in Clydesdale have been recipients of funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

“These grants enable groups and schools to improve their facilities and provide new opportunities for local people from purchasing new playground equipment to community training workshops.

“Big Lottery want to help communities and I encourage any group in Clydesdale looking for funding to contact the Big Lottery Fund and check whether they are eligible.”
