Aileen Campbell encourages Clydesdale to join the Big Lunch

Clydesdale MSP, Aileen Campbell is encouraging communities across Clydesdale to come together and join the Big Lunch 2012.

Last year, lunches were held all over Clydesdale as part of the Eden Project’s Big Lunch, and Aileen hopes that residents in the towns and villages of Clydesdale will show their community spirit once again and organise their own Big Lunch.

The project was started by The Eden Project and aims to have as many neighbours, friends and local organisations join together for lunch on a date and time that suits them best.  Packs and advice and on how to put on your own Big Lunch is available at their website www.thebiglunch.com or by calling 0845 850 8181.

Aileen Campbell said:

“It is always worthwhile for a community to come together to interact and enjoy each other’s company.

“Clydesdale is a vibrant place full of wonderful community events throughout the year, and I hope once again this year that neighbours will come together and organise their own Big Lunch.

“With the array of fantastic food and drink we have in these parts I know any Clydesdale lunch will certainly be a tasty one.

“If any individual or group want advice on how to set up their own neighbourhood meal the Big Lunch team are more than happy to assist.”
