Clydesdale MSP Aileen Campbell donned pink accessories at the Scottish Parliament’s ‘Wear it Pink’ day to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer Care.
The event, which was hosted by fellow Lanarkshire MSP Christina McKelvie, drew MSPs from across the chamber - including the First Minister – who donned pink accessories in aid of breast cancer research.
Aileen Campbell said:
“I was delighted to attend the parliament’s Wear it Pink event and don a pink feather boa to help raise awareness for breast cancer research.
“It is estimated that there are over 41,000 women and 150 men alive in Scotland who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Many people have lost friends and family members to the disease and it is imperative we continue to support and help fund cutting edge research into treating and preventing breast cancer.
“I encourage everyone in Clydesdale to support the official Wear it Pink day on Friday 28th October and raise valuable funds for breast cancer research.”
