Campbell Welcomes Big Lottery’s Investing in Communities Programme

Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for South of Scotland, has welcomed the The Big Lottery Fund’s launch of a new multi million pound fund aimed at tackling need and supporting disadvantaged communities across Scotland.

The Investing in Communities programme, launched on the 30 June, allows Scottish organisations to apply for up to five years of funding for projects designed to help communities and individuals most in need. The target areas for investment include supporting local communities to acquire or develop their own assets such as local cafes, shops and wind turbines, to supporting vulnerable adults back into work or improving the quality of life for hard pressed Scottish families.

Commenting, Aileen Campbell MSP said:

I welcome the launch of the Investing in Communities programme as it can provide a great opportunity for organisations in the Clydesdale area to help develop their local communities

“I encourage any organisation thinking of applying to contact the Big Lotto Fund on 0300 123 7110 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

“I hope many organisations in the area will take the initiative and apply for funding so the local area can continue to benefit.”
