|
Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for South of Scotland, attended the launch of the Scottish Youth Parliament’s Picture the Change campaign last Thursday (1st July) outside the Scottish Parliament. The launch, which featured singer - songwriter Amy Macdonald, marks the beginning of the consultation phase of their next youth manifesto. The campaign encourages young people all over Scotland to ‘Picture the Change’ they would like to see to make Scotland a better place. This summer the Scottish Youth Parliament will be travelling to festival, schools, colleges and other events throughout Scotland to consult with young people about their vision for Scotland. More information about the campaign and how to get involved can be found at www.picturethechange.org. Commenting, Aileen Campbell, MSP said: “It’s great to see young people working so hard to secure the future they want for Scotland. “This campaign is a great forum for young people to get their voices heard and to let Scotland’s politicians know what they want for Scotland. “I would encourage young people in my constituency to download the manifesto pack, available on the website and to get as involved as possible with the campaign. “I was so happy to meet with the enthusiastic MYSPs, who showed how important it is for young people to get involved in politics.”
