Campbell Agrees That Tinto’s Got Talent

Aileen Campbell, SNP MSP for South of Scotland, has congratulated the participants in The Tinto’s Got Talent show which took place on Thursday 3rd June.  The event, in Symington/Tinto Football Club’s Hall, kicks off a weekend of celebrations and activities around the area’s Village Day on Saturday 5th June.

Young participants from schools in the area showed off their skills in a range of performances including the bagpipes, harp, saxophone as well as singers.  Aileen was among the large crowd cheering on the artists.

Commenting, Aileen Campbell MSP said:

“This was a wonderful evening and there’s no doubt in my mind that Tinto really has got talent.

“All the young participants put their heart and soul into their performances, and it was really enjoyable to see.  There were lots of proud mums and dads, as well as other local residents, in the hall.

“It seems that TV talent shows have inspired our local youngsters, so perhaps in a few years we’ll even see some of them on our screens.

“I’m looking forward to the rest of the weekend, especially the village day on Saturday.”
